For most, love seems to need no introduction. We write about it, celebrate it and sing of it. We humans can’t seem to stop talking about it, and for most it is the paramount attainment of life which everything else pales in comparison to. Thus, we are time and again willing to forsake everything for it. We die for it and if need be we are willing to kill for it. We weep in sorrow at its loss and we sob out of ecstasy in its presence. Yet, can we be so sure we know it? Why does it appear to be so easy to mess up? Who should we love, and how? In this talk Ujjvala Dāsa attempts to shed light on this mysterious topic from the perspective of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.
